Fermenting Workshop, 17 July

Upcoming July 17, there is yet one more workshop. You will learn the basics of fermentation. After a presentation we taste samples of all sorts of delicious fermented products. From MelkKefir to sauerkraut. Meanwhile a delicious lunch is being prepared.

After lunch we go to work ourselves. We prepare a pot of sauerkraut and kimchi. For homemade of course, is the best! You get your first basic tools to do the job: a ferment masher, two jars and a Getting Started guide with recipes.

✔ What is fermentation?
✔ What salt do you use?
✔ What vegetables do you use?
✔ We taste lots of samples.
✔ How long does it take?
✔ And… what could go wrong?

The workshop takes 4 hours and costs € 60, – p/p. You go home with two jars filled with your first self-fermented sauerkraut and kimchi, a ferment masher and a Getting Started guide with recipes.

Kefir Workshop, June 19th

The next Kefir Workshop is sundae june 19th. From 13:00 till 15:00.

✔ What is Kefir?
✔ Try my special flavors for they are tasty!
✔ The basic recipe and taking care of the culture
✔ Second fermentation, bubbles with yes or no
✔ Understanding the ingredients for the second fermentation
✔ How to keep the kefir healthy?
✔ Create your own bottle of soda

The workshop takes 2 hours and costs 25, – per person. You go home with a big preserving jar filled with Kefir grains and you have brewed your first Kefir using second fermentation. There is enough milk kefir to share.

Upcoming May 14, is a workshop Water Kefir. You will learn the basics of fermentation. After a presentation we taste samples of all sorts of delicious fermented products. From MelkKefir to sauerkraut. Meanwhile Rhea’s Veda is preparing a delicious lunch.
Rhea’s Veda uses Ayurvedic cuisine and will explain to us over lunch why the sour taste has a special place in this philosophy and why she used it in the dish.

Zondag 27 maart van 12:00 tot 18:00 staat Kefirworkshops op de Spaarndammer Souk.  We verkopen een heerlijk glas Kefir of we laten je proeven van de lekkere samples gefermenteerde groenten. Ook zijn er starter pakken te koop voor melk en water kefir.

Workshop Fermenteren 20 maart

In deze workshop laat ik de basis van het fermenteren zien. We starten met een presentatie en een proefronde met allerlei lekker gefermenteerde producten. Van MelkKefir tot zuurkool. Kimchi tot tempé. Ondertussen wordt er door Rhea’s Veda een heerlijke lunch bereid.
Rhea’s Veda hanteert de Ayurvedische keuken en zal ons tijdens de lunch uitleggen waarom de zure smaak een speciale plaats heeft in deze filosofie en waarom zij deze in de gerechten heeft verwerkt.
